After Christmas…

Hi all. You missed me? of course not …but anyway.
Nothing much to write about my Christmas, but I did something I wanted to do for a while. To switch off my phone, to not read e-mails, to eat and to sleep. And I am quite proud to announce that I did it! Till the new year I’ll have to do some work but now I am ok with this. The Christmas was a very “little” one, not a big fuss, just me and Zack, eating Italian, Greek and Polish stuff, drinking “limoncelo” and wine, listening to music, watching dvds… So it was quiet. I do not remember if I said (and actually I am too lazy to go back to read the previous posts ) but I bought the DVD player - and Z. was happy with it (this is a good thing I think ). I received as a present a game that I badly wanted to have, Flight Simulator and a Torino 2006 official rucksack. So people, I own now my own Boeing fleet.

PS. Alitalia didn’t lost my luggage, arrived almost in time and the crew was (I’m shocked!) impeccably dressed and they offered the best service ever. Of course not a better one that the one offered by the full masculine crew on a Milan-Bucharest flight 2 years ago, when I have played cards with them because we were just 5 people on board.

Holiday!

Yep! That’s the word my friends! Holiday! H-O-L-I-D-A-Y!
So tomorrow I will fly to Italiy with the best airline in the world, Alitalia. Ei, of course its the worst one but what can I do, I just love it! Hope there will be no delays and that my luggage will arrive with the same flight.

Shopping …dar cedez nervos

Enervant. Dupa 5 ore (da 5 ore …. devin femeie sau ce?) m-am intors acasa tot cu sacosa goala. Ma rog nu goala. Am cumparat hartia de impachetat, deun verde simplu cu niste globulete rosii si nu e kitch.

Dar nu am reusit sa iau nimic pentru nimeni. Daca tousi am pus mana si am facut o lista cu cine va primi ce … am ajuns in marea dilema de a nu stii ce sa-i cumpar to my best friend. Sper sa nu citeasca, desi nu intelege mare lucru din limba romana. So, am de ales intre un dvd player no name si un pulover de la Mark and Spencer (e o obsesie personala pentru firma asta).
Ce sa aleg??? Asta e un “techie gui” (in directia antene satelit, plasme si alte prostii d’astea - si genul de om care isi ia o toala o data la 3 ani) I s-a stricat dvd playerul acum doua zile dupa cum am aflat din surse sigure (un no name de careffour). Astept opinii si pareri bine sustinute …

Si daca una Kinsela zicea “I love shopping” ei bine I hate it! I just fucking hate it! Si e naspa sa fii barbat singur care sa faca shopping… credeti-ma!

I admit that in the first part of the year I was not active, ant my intense activity started somewhere in August. But still there is 1 year of blogging and I want to make it at least 10 .

Transformari in directia OSX si “visual shopping”

Azi am fost destul de ciudat.
Mi-am facut Windowsul sa arate ca un Mac OSX, pentru ca “I hate Bill Gates” si pentru ca nu E bani momentan de un “real PowerBook” de la Apple.

Rezultatul il vedeti mai jos.

Am fost la “vizualizat” magazine pentru ca trebuie sa cumpar cadouri de craciun pentru personagii importante de pe aici si pentru my best friend cu care imi voi petrece “the holiday”. De asemenea ceva si pentru sora-mea sa trimit pachet. Multe marfuri oameni buni! Multe chestii nasoale si de calitate indoielnica fie ca le cumperi de la Mark & Spencer.

Asa ca am zis sa trec sa arunc un ochi la Timberland unde evident un pulover este cat 50% din intregul meu buget alocat cadourilor de Craciun.
Dar am intrat si la Tom Tailor unde m-am socat ca puloverul primit cadou de Mos Nicolae este (dupa conversia in euro) 150 euro. In Germania era vreo 95 if I remember well. Hmmmm…. There’s something fishy.

In cele din urma m-am oprit la raionul “di fimei” al Peek & Cloppenburg de unde am achizitionat un pulover marca Woolrich “in sales” (ciudat pentru un articol de iarna). Ce era si mai ciudat a fost ca holbandu-ma si plimbandu-ma pe acolo si incercand sa gasesc ceva pentru teisturile sora-mii majoritatea femeilor si barbatilor se uitau la mine ca la un “freak”. Io stiu ca nu e normal ca un barbat sa cumpere chestii “di femei” da’ daca trebe’, trebe’! Si totusi … mi-au sarit in ajutor mai multe domnisoare si doamne si am 3 numere de telefon noi in agenda! ))

M-am mutat la raionul “da barbati”. Interesante chestii dar totusi cum dracu’ sa dai aproximativ 400 euro pe un pulover(nu-mi amintesc marca …ca vazui negru in fata ochilor). C’mon!

Deci am cumparat un cadou. Maine vrea sau nu, imi place sau nu trebuie sa le cumpar pe restul!

Ah, ca era sa uit. Mi-am mai cumparat si un nou aparat de barbierit Gillete, dupa ce vechiul a raposat intr-un cos de gunoi ieri, dupa o prealabila scapare in toaleta.

Momente de trista amintire …

Cuvîntarea se referă la evenimentele din Timisoara din zilele de 16-17 decembrie 1989.

DRAGI TOVARĂŞI ŞI PRIETENI, CETĂŢENI AI REPUBLICII SOCIALISTE ROMÂNIA.

Mă adresez, în această seară, intregului popor al patriei noastre socialiste, în legătură cu evenimentele grave care au avut loc, în ultimele zile, la Timişoara.

În zilele de 16 şi 17 decembrie sub pretextul impiedicării aplicării unei sentinţe judecătoreşti legale, cîteva grupuri de elemente huliganice au organizat o serie de manifestări şi inci-dente trecind la atacarea unor instituţii de stat, distrugand şi jefuind o serie de clădiri de magazine, de clădiri publice, iar in ziua de 17 decembrie şi-au intensificat activitatea împotriva instituţiilor de stat şi de partid, inclusiv a unor unitaţi militare. Din desfăşurarea evenimentelor şi din declaraţiile unor participanţi la aceste evenimente, aceste grupuri aveau scopul de a provoca dezordine şi distrugerea instituţiilor şi bunurilor ge-nerale ale oraşului şi de a da semnalul unor asemenea acţiuni şi in alte centre. Populaţia din Timişoara cunoaşte şi a văzut toate aceste distrugeri de tip fascist care au avut loc. Cu toate insistenţele depuse, timp de două zile, de organele politice, de partid, de consiliul popular, de conducerile întreprinderilor şi de organele de ordine, accceste grupuri au continuat şi şi-au intensificat activitatea de distrugere, de atacare a instituţiilor şi magazinelor, inclusiv a unor unităţi militare. În aceste împrejurări grave, in seara zilei de 17 decembrie, fiind atacate, unităţile militare au răspuns prin focuri de avertisment împotriva celor care au continuat să acţioneze împotriva unităţilor militare şi instituţiilor de stat şi politice. Deoarece acţiunile grupurilor antinaţionale, teroriste, au continuat, unităţile militare - conform Constituţiei şi în conformitate cu legile ţării - au fost obligate să se apere, să apere ordinea şi bunurile întregului oraş, de fapt să apere ordinea în întreaga tară. Organele de ordine, procuratura, au efectuat şi continuă să efectueze cercetările corespunzătoare pentru a stabili cauzele şi vinovaţia acestor acte cu caracter net fascist, provocator, de distrugere. Din datele de care se dispune pină in prezent, se poate declara cu deplină certitudine că aceste actiuni cu caracter terorist au fost organizate şi declanşate în strînsă legătură cu cercurile reactionare, împerialiste, iredentiste, soviniste şi cu serviciile de spionaj din diferite tări străine.

Scopul acestor acţiuni antinaţionale a fost acela de a provoca dezordinea în vederea des-tabilizării situaţiei politice, economice, de a crea condiţiile dezmembrării teritoriale a României, distrugerii îndependenţei şi suveranitătii patriei noastre socialiste.

Vrem aurul la Bucuresti! Hai Romania!

Nu am fost niciodata un “football addicted”. Dar am jucat 5 ani de zile handbal si inca imi place sa ma uit la acest sport.

Iar astazi sunt si mai incantat de faptul ca Romania joaca finala Campionatului Modial de Handbal Feminin, la Sankt Petersburg. Adversara ne va fi echipa Rusiei.

Romancele nu au avut nici o infrangere in acest campionat si sper ca astazi sa fie bine si sa fim numarul unu mondial.

La acest campionat mondial am batut medaliata cu bronz la JO de la Atena, Ucraina, detinatoarea titlului mondial, Franta, Brazilia (campioana a Americii de Sud), puternica Germanie si, joi seara, cistigatoarea ultimelor trei Olimpiade, Danemarca. Iar vineri unguroaicele au primit o binemeritata lectie romaneasca.

Ca veni vorba, antrenorul Ungariei declarase joi, ca daca fetele lui joaca semifinala cu Romania sigur Ungaria este in finala. Iete na!

Asa ca hai Romania! Sa le dam o lectie de handbal si tovaraselor noastre, pretene de la est.

Open letter to the President of European Council

Mister President of European Council,

The undersigned Romania, inhabited in Central and Eastern Europe, asks you to approve my query for the next wave EU integration in on January 1st, 2007. I have to say this is not the first query I subscribe to you, but time to time I feel the need to renew it, in case that you are too busy with bigger problems than the wishes of a very small country. I know I wasn’t appreciated for my efforts in changing the system and I know that your protractors are still grumbling. I want your forgiveness for giving some of our most important military bases to my friend U.S.A. but I really had to do this. But, I promise I’ll buy very soon some new land from the Romanian peasants allowing you to finish your project of the European highway to the Black Sea. I want to thank you for your kindness in helping me with rebuilding houses in the areas affected by floods, and please receive as gratitude from me the small pack attached to this letter.

In-flight sex in Air France flight from Rio de Janeiro

A bit too old but I think it worths! It happened on April 28, 2005 on the Air France AF443 Flight from Rio de Janeiro (GIG) to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG).

- 2 Russian female slightly drunk upon boarding were caught twice smoking in the toilets;
-they started drinking with 2 Romanian
-the four of them had sexual intercourse on cabin seats (no attention paid to the other not even to the flight attendents). All 4 were naked in the plane. Police handled them upon arrival, kept them for 8 hours in a cell with cancellation of the continuating the next flights.

ps. for those of you that make comments about the green CosmOTE use: you should know this is the official colour of CosmOTE Greece for some years, as red is the Vodafone colour. (please note that Connex changed it green in 2004. the old Connex green was a bit darker).

New destinations from BlueAir - Romanian low-cost airline

After some scandals created by press after some minor incidents (and normal for an airline)Blue air decided to extend it routes with four more.
The routes are:
Bucharest-Verona/Brescia
Timisoara-Verona/Brecia
Bucharest-Frankfut (Hahn)
Bucharest-Valencia.

For Frankfurt and valencia the flights will be available starting with spring 2006. (end of march probably), but the ticket sale will start till the end of this year.

BlueAir will operate from Bucharest and Timisoara to Verona-Brescia, starting with february 11. The flights are on monday, wednesday and saturday. Here is the schedule:

Bucuresti -Baneasa (14:00) - Verona - Brescia (15:05)
Verona-Brescia (20:40) - Bucuresti-Baneasa ( 23:40)

Timisoara (19:15) - Verona-Brescia (19:55)
Verona - Brescia (15:50) - Timisoara (18:30).

All this flights will be operated with the same aircraft, a Boeing 737-300, that will fly Bucharest-Verona-Timisoara-Verona-Bucharest.
At the start I believed that BlueAir will re-launch the flights to Timisoara. For the moment they will not, but this is another story(keep reading this blog for details).

As the officials of the company said, another plane will join BlueAir fleet till the end of the year. For the moment they prefer to not say if it will be a small aircraft or another Boeing 737. Why? If it is a small aircraft (ATR, SAAB, Embraer) this means that they will start to oparate national destinations and TAROM should not know so early. Friends know why!

Another good thing is that starting with January 23, BlueAir will operate it route to/from Barcelona on the main airport of the city, El Prat (13 km from the city-center), and not to Reus (100km from Barcelona).

For the moment Blue Air didint anouced the details about Frankfurt. The airport where they will fly is Hahn, that is 110km away from the real Frankfurt city. In aviation the name of the airport can be associated with the name of the nearest biggest city only if the distance is not bigger that 50km. But still, there are many cases in Europe when low-cost carees or the airports do this.

This is all. Now just …fly away!

Americanii, injunghierile din scoli si fructele de toamna

Titlul acestui post este un “ghiveci”. Da, adevarat. Este un “ghiveci” pentru ca asta am vazut eu astazi la televizor.
Ca un roman ce locuieste in strainatate incerc din cand in cand sa sucesc antena parabolica in scopuri nobile” acela de a mai privi si un post de televiziune romanesc. 6 decembrie a fost o zi importanta pentru Romania. Au venit americanii. De data aceasta oficial, ca neofiacial au fost ei de mai multe ori fara sa stim noi.

Pentru ca Pro Tv International ne arata niste crime pe la ora 17, Prima Tv oferea un talk-in-show si pe TVR erau multe reclame, m-am oprit la Realitatea TV. Domnul Prelipceanu incerca sa discute cu niste invitati despre vizata secretarului de stat american Condoleezza Rice la Bucuresti. Dupa 2 ore nu am reusit sa inteleg de ce este importanta pentru tara mea acesta vizita sau de ce este importanta semnarea tratatului ce permite functionarea de baze americane pe teritoriul Romaniei.
Domnul Prelipceanu nu a fost capabil nici macar sa ne anunte ce e cu avionul. In timp ce pe ecran scria ca aeronava a aterizat pe aeroportul (citez) “Otopeni … aaaa… pardon Henri Coanda”, domnul Prelipceanu spunea ca avionul va ajunge cu intarziere de 30 de minute din cauza conditiilor meteo nefavorabile. Dupa 5 minute este explicata si neconcordonta: “Unii dintre colegii mei se uitau pe monitor si vedeau c avionul A aterizant. Si mi-au spus in casca ca avionul a aterizat. dar era vorba de aterizarea de la Berlin.” Hmmm….. profesionalism mon cher!

Tot de la vizita secretarului de stat … O gafa a celor de la aeroportul Henri Coanda. Scara pentru coborare a fost plasata la prima usa-stanga a avionului (ca la orice debarcare normala). In schimb oficialii americani asteptau la cea de-a doua usa. Spre delectare aveti mai jos imaginea.

Stiti cu totii despre cazul elevei injunghiate. Am asistat la o discutie pe aceasta tema la OTV. Am rezistat eroic la showul oferit de Dan Diaconescu in Direct, de avocata celui care a injunghiat-o pe fata si diversi vecini: Dumitru, Dumitru si Dna. Nuti. In imagine avocata lui Constantin Groza si scrisul “Dna. Nuti”. In afara de faptul ca avocata nu vorbea nici macar ca o avocata de duzina…. no comment.

Si ma intorc putin in timp…pe la ora pranzului. La Prima TV o suava domnisorica ne invita sa castigam milioane sunand la 0900 bla bla bla.
pana aici nimic rau, in afara de dictia domnisoarei in cauza. Apar pe ecran niste litere din care trebuie sa formam un cuvant. Cuvantul reprezinta “un fruct de toamna”. Domnisoara este acompaniata de un mic telefon mobil animat, cel care joaca rolul celui responsabil cu primirea raspunsurilor de la telespectatori. La un moment dat domnisoara spune ca telespectatorii care suna sa se inscrie la concurs dau raspunsuri gresite si Garido (acesta este numele telefonului animat) este enervat de acet lucru. se dau exemple de raspunsuri gresite: castana, pepene, etc. Hmmmm…. ia priviti imaginea:

Pe langa acesta …daca ghicesti cuvantul ai sansa de a castiga alte milioane. trebuie sa spui un cod de 4 cifre. Garido il verifica sa vada daca este identic cu codul pe care-l are el in “memoria-virtuala-a-organizatorilor-care-fac-orice-sa-nu-piarda-banii-pusi-in-joc”.
Evident telespecatorul in cauza a potrivit doar doua cifre, nu pe toate patru asa ca trebuie sa se multumeasca cu 5 milioane ROL.

Nu simt ca mi-am pierdut timpul privind la aceasta minunata emisiune concurs. Am mai realizat inca o data ca “tot ce-i romanesc nu piere”. Dati-i inainte fratilor si cand o sa terminati anunatati-ne si pe noi astia d’afara. poate vom fi inca deajuns de tineri cat sa ne mai accepte companiile aeriene la bord pentru un zbor catre Bucuresti.

If is to fly just WIZZ the AIR!

I landed 2 hours ago on Dortmunt airport, in Germany. I had my fist flight with the biggest central and east European low-cost company, WizzAir.
What can I tell you? The plane was very nice. They are using just Airbus A320, configured for 180 passengers. The crew was young and very nice, the engines were very silent - at a certain point I was asking my self if they are working .

I enjoyed my flight with WizzAir and I think I will used them again whenever I have the occasion.

The single thing is that they do not offer any snacks or beverages for free and they are quite expensive. I bought a mineral water and a sandwich from a regular supermarket before my departure, cause was cheaper in this way. But still, I bought something on board: a small WizzAir Airbus A320 plane for my collection. .
